INTIMATIONS - SUNDAY, 20^th SEPTEMBER 2026

A warm welcome is extended to everyone joining with us for worship this morning, in person and on-line from wherever you are locally and from many other parts of the world.

The service is live streamed as well as being available on the Minister’s Facebook page at “Minister Denny Old and Haggs”. Tea and coffee will be available after the service. Church news and intimations can be accessed on Denny Old and Haggs United Church website - www.dennyoldandhaggs.co.uk.

A new list of upcoming services and large print Order of Service are available if needed. The next mid-week service in Haggs Church is on Wednesday, 14^th October, at 2.00pm.

The Wildwood Drumming Circle will be held in Haggs Church Hall on Wednesday, 30^th September from 6.00-7.00pm. All are welcome.

The Snowdrop Café meets every Monday from 1-3pm in Haggs Church Hall. The Café is holding a lunch for MacMillan Cancer Support tomorrow, Monday, 21^st September from 1-3pm to which all are invited. There will be a raffle to raise extra money, and any donations of raffle prizes would be appreciated. Please contact Sue Storrar.

The Lunch Box is open to everyone each Monday in Denny Church Hall from 11.00am to 1.00pm, serving soup sandwiches, cakes and tea/coffee all very reasonably priced.

The Boys’ Brigade, 1^st Haggs Company are on every Tuesday night in Haggs Church Hall. They run from 6.15pm to 7.45pm and are open to all boys and girls in Primary 1 all the way up to secondary. Pop along for a visit to see what fun and games we do.

The Girls’ Brigade: The Brigade meets on Monday evenings at 6.15pm for 6.30pm start in Denny Church Halls. All girls of school age will be made most welcome.

Blythswood Shoe Box Appeal:  Leaflets are now available with details of suggested items to fill a box. Filled boxes should be returned by

31^st October. Speak to Beth Young for more information.

Harvest Thanksgiving: This church will celebrate harvest on Sunday,

27^th September. Donations of groceries and toiletries for forwarding to Falkirk Foodbank would be greatly appreciated. If you would like to help with decorating church on the Saturday please speak to Janet Rhodes.

A Soup & Sandwich Lunch will follow the Harvest Service. Anyone who can help with donations of soup or can help on the day please speak to Sue Storrar.

Coffee & Chat Club will restart on Tuesday, 29^th September at 2.00pm and any ladies will be welcome to come along to join us. The following meeting will be on Tuesday, 13^th October.

Kirk Session next meets on Wednesday, 30^th September at 6.30pm in Denny Church Halls. Please note the slightly earlier time.

Joint Congregations Service will take place in Bonnybridge St Helen’s Church on Sunday, 4^th October at 11.00am. This service will be celebrating  Harvest. There will be a retiring collection for Falkirk Foodbank.

There will be no service in this Church that day.

‘Yoga 4 All’Sessions are held in Haggs Church Hall on Thursday evenings at 7.00pm until 8.15pm.

Community Exercise Classes and Keep Fit for All, including the Denny and District Hearties, are held in Denny Church Hall. Contact Kirsty Arnott 07938 169967 for more details.

Pastoral Visiting Teams:  If you know of someone in hospital, at home, in a care home, or just needing a visit, please let us know by speaking to those on door duty or dropping a note in the box on the table at the front door. You can also contact Raheel on 01324 819149 and he will pass on details.

Denny Baptist Church are hosting a Prayer Gathering “United in Prayer” on Wednesday, 23^rd September at 7.30pm. Teas and Coffees are available from 7.00pm. If anyone from Denny Old and Haggs wanted to go along they would be so welcome - it's with a few other churches in the region and the invitation is extended to all local churches.
